Cheat Codes for The Sims 2

Below is a list of handy cheat codes for The Sims 2.

To open the games cheat console, hold: Ctrl+Shift+C

The Sims 2 Cheat Codes

kaching - adds §1000 to the current household funds.
motherlode - adds §50,000 to the current household funds.
familyfunds {family/household name} {amount} - Sets the household funds to a set amount. For example, 'familyfunds "Goth" 10000' will set the funds for the Goth household to 10,000 Simoleons

moveobjects on - Allows you to move, place, or delete objects (including Sims, mailboxes, and trashcans) in locations where they normally cannot be placed.
moveobjects off - Disables the above cheats
boolProp allow45DegreeAngleOfRotation true - Allows you to rotate most objects by 45 degrees using the < and > keys while placing them. Use false to disable.
boolProp snapObjectsToGrid false - Allows you to place objects free of the grid in Buy and Build Modes. Use true to enable grid snapping again.

boolprop testingcheatsenabled true - Activates the Debug/Testing Mode. Shift-clicking on Sims or other object will enable advanced reactions not scene normally in-game such as messing with aspiration, changing the Sims' outfit and spawn advanced cheat objects such as Sim Modder (A Sims cheat object) and the Tombstone of L+D (a Death cheats Object)
boolprop testingcheatsenabled false - Turns off the previous cheat.

maxmotives - Maximizes all Motives (Needs) for every Sim currently on the active lot.
motiveDecay on/off - Setting to On locks the motives of the Sims, preventing them from increasing or decreasing.
aging off - Disables aging for all Sims in the current household.
aging on - Re-enables sim aging.
showheadlines off - Hides thought bubbles, speech bubbles, and the plumbob (diamond above the Sim's head).
showheadlines on - Re-enables Sim speech bubbles.
unlockcareerrewards - Unlocks all career reward objects for the currently selected Sim, allowing you to buy them immediately.
forcetwins - Forces a pregnant Sim to give birth to twins.

deleteallcharacters - When ran from the neighbourhood, this command will empty the neighbourhood and family bin of all Sims (including Townies and NPC's), and wipes the associated 'Characters' folder. Creating a new Sim or group of Sims in CAS, and adding them to a lot will generate new Townies and NPC Sims.
